Jennifer Tilly's birth took place in Los Angeles, California on September 16, 1958. The conditions were miserable. Her father was a car salesman, while her mother was a school teacher. Jennifer was the second daughter of four, often went to theater shows with her mother. She was impressed. When Jennifer reached the age of five she divorced her parents. Jennifer was brought up in British Columbia by her mother and moved in with her four siblings. Jennifer never was a studious person, even though she did have an artistic talent in her youth. As her interest in theatre began to fade as she entered high school, she began participating in plays together with her mom. Her mother encouraged her entire family to be passionate about art.
