Charisma Carpenter Charisma Carpenter, an American actress, is recognized as the character of "Cordelia chase" from the popular drama for teens "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"' and Angel. Carpenter was trained in dance and cheerleading but was only able to become an actor by accident. Carpenter, who was found on the streets of Los Angeles by a commercial agency while she was waiting tables, rapidly went from modeling to being a part of one of the most successful dramas during the late 90s. Carpenter's brief appearances on the characters Veronica, Miss Match and Chamed, and her own real-life show "Surviving Evil which aired that aired on Investigation Discovery' shocked many. It featured Carpenter sharing her terrible tale of being assaulted by a serial assaulter when she was 21. It brought to light an aspect of Carpenter which a majority of viewers were unaware of.
