Nathalie Emmanuel

Nathalie Emmanuel, a British actor best known for her part as Missandei (HBO's fantasy series Game of Thrones) from 2011, was she was a British actor. Born and raised in Southend-on-the-Sea, a seaside resort town located in Essex, Emmanuel was drawn to the stage from a young age. Nathalie's mother took note and began enrolling her in dance, sing and acting classes at the age of was just 3 years old. Emmanuel became a fast-growing performer, and by the time she reached her late teens, she was playing a young Nala for her role in the West End show of the critically acclaimed production of the musical "The the Lion King." Emmanuel auditioned for roles in TV and film when she was in her teens. The first time she was noticed was 2007, when she got given the role of Sasha Valentine, a British soap-opera "Hollyoaks", (Channel 4 95--). Emmanuel was in the role for four seasons, leaving the series in 2010. Emmanuel received her major break on HBO "Game of Thrones" after three years, playing the character of Missandei.
