Agnetha Faltskog
Though she's earned her name as an individual artist in Sweden, Agnetha Faltskog will always be remembered as the 'ABBA' member which is one of the most famous and well-known pop bands of all time. After leaving school at the age of 15 to take on a music career after which she began singing with Bernt Enghardt's band as well as gaining a following. She was able to secure a recording contract through Enghardt and her debut single topped the charts in Sweden. Bjorn became her spouse, and she joined ABBA. ABBA would go on to become one of the largest group of pop in the world for the next 8 years. They were awarded numerous prizes, including gold and platinum, all over the world. Post-ABBA was released, she had three albums, namely 'Wrap Your Arms Around Me' Eyes of a Woman as well as 'I stand alone'. All having enjoyed great acclaim in Sweden and gained acclaim throughout Europe too, but they was never able to make an impact in the U.S. As the '80s were coming to an end and she entered into an officially-resigned retirement. The music of ABBA was the focus of a show on jukeboxes called "Mamma Mia!. She came out of retirement to make 'My Color Book', which reached eleven at the top of U.K. chart. The singer has had a favorable response to her latest Album 'A.'
